Rigs and rigs testing
A SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE HAIR RIG!
This is one of my favorite carp catching rigs:
First tie a loop knot in the one end of your braid
Next put a ring on the braid, then put the hook on and tie the knotless knot
The finished product on a leader should look like this:

THE BEST PVA BAG!
Then to make the perfect pva bag just, place a small amount of bait in bottom (im using 4mm halibut pellits)
next fold in the corners to get rid of air spaces and make the bag more aerodynamic.
Then place the rig inside, push the hook bait down to the bottom and put the lead on top facing upwards,
this is so you can put the pva tape round the tail rubber. Add some more pellits if needs be to make the bag full.
Then squeze the top of the bag on tail rubber and tie with pva string

pop up rig
This pop up rig is very simple, but works very well, a common problem with pop up rigs is that people but the shot or lead putty before the hook which make it harder to hook the fish. As you see on the rig test picture the pop up sits just off the bottom, which makes it easyer for the carp to pick up the hook.
Another alternative is balanced baits which can add a bit more colour and flavour, also becuse there balanced the fish can hoover them up with out feeling the hook.
