The session started slow due to most of the carp predominantlyfeed at night, then about 9pm i had a run and landed a 4lb bream, and then caught another one soon after. After putting my rods back out, and a few bait changes at 11pm i had a run, and land a 16lb mirror carp. I caught it on mainline cell 15mm boilies, just in the margins. After that i had one more run about 4am, which unfortunately came off. over all a good session

i sacked the carp up over night and got some better pictures in the morning.

I recently went down to linear for 48 hours on brasnose 1, not many people were catching and the trip was quite unsucsessful, my my hard work was rewarded on the second afternoon with a small 6lb mirror carp

I turned up at Napton to find the whole lake frozen over, i thought i could brake it but it was 3 inches thick, the big lake was amazing to see frozen over. The thing that made me smile was watching the ducks and swans trying to walk on the ice.

I spent 24hours at a mineral lake in Bedworth, after setting up i had my first fish at half past five, after already loosing two, my first fish was a 12lb sturgeon, two hours later my reel was screaming and i landed a 12lb carp. then after a few hours of sleep, i caught a 21lb sturgeon which put up an amazing fight. Soon after i caught a 8lb common carp, then when morning came around i started to pack up and before taking my rods out i caught an 11lb carp. It was a very good short session, specially for winter, i caught them on a fluorocarbon leader, set up on a clip rig system to fluorocarbon hair rig. The bait i caught them all on is peperami, in addition i used a small bag of halibut pellets.

Hi my name is Sam, max’s usual fishing companian. We fished the the same avon stretch at the end of July 2008. I tell you what, it was absolutley AMAZING! We have never had such made fishing in our fishing lives. between three of us, we had 10 carp, 5 chub, and 8 decent slabbed bream. And well, i think 23 fish in 48 hours was amazing, all of them, except 2 bream, and this lovely looking 17.8lb common carp, awakening me at half past 5 on a lovely summers morning.

Two weeks ago me and my friend Sam did 24 hours on the river Avon.
We fished boilies over a particle mix.
The river Avon is well fished by match anglers, but very under rated and under fished for carp.
There are not a huge number of carp, but they do grow quite big, the biggest carp is 29lb and as you may know river carp fight twice as hard.
Because these carp are partly wild they are mainly nocturnal.
We fished in St Nicholas Park where the river Avon goes through, the only run we had resulted in a fish and it was a 17lb common that I caught.
I caught it on a 18m cc Moore meteor boilie, on a blow back rig, with a fluorocarbon leader.
